This Privacy Policy describes how OTX ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the DRIFT mobile application ("the App").
DRIFT is designed to collect as little personal data as possible. We do not collect names, email addresses, or login credentials — there is no account required to use the App.
Your listening history, saved mixes, favourites, sleep timer preferences, and similar settings are stored locally on your device. We do not upload them to any server. The one exception is described under Crash Reports below.
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple's App Store. Apple shares only a subscription status flag (active / inactive) with our subscription provider, RevenueCat, so the App can determine whether to unlock premium content.
DRIFT includes Meta's software so we can tell which of our adverts led people to the App. That is the only purpose it serves, and it never receives what you listen to.
When the App starts, Meta's software creates an anonymous identifier for your device. If you later start a trial or subscribe, RevenueCat sends that purchase event, together with that identifier, to Meta so the advert can be credited.
If you allow tracking when the App asks, Meta's software may additionally use your device's advertising identifier. If you decline, or never answer, no advertising identifier is collected. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone.
Crash reports are sent to Sentry to help us fix bugs. They include your device model, iOS version, the technical stack trace, and a short trail of recent in-app events — which can include the name of a sound that was playing when the crash happened. They do not include your name, email address, or an account identifier, because we hold none.
We use the following services strictly for the App to function. Each has their own privacy policy:
DRIFT is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children.
We hold no account, name or email address for you, so there is no profile for us to look up. To remove all DRIFT data from your device, delete the App from your iPhone. To stop advertising identifiers being collected, turn tracking off for DRIFT in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you would like us to ask Meta or RevenueCat to delete advertising data associated with your device, write to us at the address below and we will pass the request on.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the in-app link. Continued use of DRIFT after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
